Aceto Corporation was a publicly traded company listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange under the ticker symbol "ACET" prior to its acquisition. The company, headquartered in New York, was a leading value-added distributor of specialty chemicals and pharmaceutical products in the United States and worldwide.

On November 16, 2018, it was announced that an affiliate of New York-based private investment firm, Aceto's Board of Directors approved a merger agreement with an affiliate of New York-based private investment firm, Century Grove Capital Partners, L.P., under which Aceto would become a private company. Aceto shareholders received $0.94 per share in cash. The transaction closed on January 2, 2019.
