Kraft Foods Inc. was a well-known public company in the United States that operated in the food and beverage industry. The company was formed in 2012 following the spin-off of the North American grocery business of Kraft Foods Inc. into a separate company, which took on the Kraft name.

The merger was structured as a tax-free reverse Morris trust transaction, with Heinz's parent company, 3G Capital, and investment firm Berkshire Hathaway owning a controlling stake in the combined company.

Following the merger, the KRFT ticker symbol was delisted from the NASDAQ stock exchange.
