Proshares Ultra Consumer Goods
ProShares Ultra Consumer Goods (UXI) is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) that seeks to provide twice (200%) the daily performance of the Dow Jones US Consumer Goods Index. The fund invests in financial instruments, such as futures contracts, that ProShares believes will help it meet its investment objective.
The Dow Jones US Consumer Goods Index is a free-float adjusted market capitalization-weighted index that includes companies involved in the consumption of goods, such as those involved in household durables, textiles and apparel, and food and staples retailing. Some of the top holdings of the fund include Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, and PepsiCo.
It is important to note that because UXI seeks to provide twice the daily performance of the index, it is a leveraged ETF and is designed to be a short-term trading tool, not a long-term investment. Its performance over longer periods of time can be significantly different from the performance of the index it tracks, and it may not be suitable for all investors.
As with any investment, it's important to thoroughly research UXI and understand its risks before making an investment decision. You should consider consulting with a financial advisor or other qualified financial professional for advice tailored to your individual circumstances.
