Tal International Group Inc is a publicly traded company listed on the US stock exchange. The company is engaged in leasing of intermodal containers and chassis. The company operates in three segments: Equipment Leasing, Equipment Trading, and Logistics Services. The equipment leasing segment leases containers, chassis, and other intermodal equipment to customers. The equipment trading section buys, sells, and leases used containers and chassis to customers. The logistics services segment offers customs brokerage services for container pickup and delivery.

As of December 30, 248,193 shares of the company's common stock, or approximately 8.1% of the total outstanding shares, were held by its chief executive officer and other executives. In March 2014, the company listed its shares on the NYSE, raising $218 million through the IPO. Tal International Group Inc made multiple acquisitions, including Nexus Lease LLC and SeaCube Container Leasing Ltd. In 2019, it changed its name from TAL International Container Corp to Tal International Group Inc after the merger.

Their stocks began being publicly traded on March 21, 2007. The company added 2,852,486 shares to the public, offering 31,000,000 outstanding shares. On January 26, 2007, the company filed a 424(b)(5) prospectus relating to 9,552,854 Shares of common stock, with a proposed maximum offering price of $150,000,000.

In a contract with Trinity Industries, Inc. Tal International., on September 2, 1997, the company agreed to lease 1,000 railcars for a fixed period of 10 years at a monthly lease rate determined by the Internal Revenue Service. The lease contract lacked renewal options, purchase options, or escalation clauses.

Tal International became associated with the Boeing 747 "Jumbo Jet" Aircraft when Boeing offered 12 passenger 747-100s for sale. They spent US$27 million on the aircraft, which had a 370-passenger seating capacity. When the Boeing 747SP came out, Taled started selling their 747-100s. Tal International placed an order for seven aircraft in 1978, bringing the total number ordered to 15. In 1985, the carrier had 17 aircraft, ten of which were 747SPs.
