Tesoro Corporation

Tesoro Corporation was a leading independent refiner and marketer of petroleum products in the United States. The company operated in three business segments: Refining, Retail, and Covenant.

Tesoro's Refining segment was engaged in the refining and processing of crude oil and other feedstocks into transportation fuels, such as gasoline, jet fuel, and diesel fuel, as well as other petroleum products, including lubricants, asphalt, and petrochemical feedstocks.

The Retail segment was involved in the selling of transportation fuels and convenience products through company-operated retail stations and third-party dealers under the ARCO, Shell, Exxon, Mobil, and Tesoro brand names in the western United States.

The Covenant segment was responsible for the company's midstream operations, including the gathering, transportation, and processing of natural gas, as well as the handling, storage, and transportation of crude oil.

Tesoro was a publicly-traded company listed on the NYSE under the ticker symbol "ANDV." However, in 2017, Tesoro Corporation merged with Andeavor to form a new company, Marathon Petroleum Corporation. As a result, Tesoro Corporation no longer exists as a separate entity and its stock is no longer traded on the NYSE.
