What VMbook is
VMbook is a menu-first restaurant directory. For each restaurant we show the actual menu — real items, real prices, and photos where we have them — so you can decide what to eat before you walk in or place an order. Where a restaurant offers online ordering, we link you straight to it.
Where our data comes from
Our menus come directly from the restaurants' own point-of-sale systems, kept in sync so prices and items reflect what the kitchen is actually serving today. Restaurant ratings and review counts are sourced from public Google business data. When you see a star rating on VMbook, it's a real aggregate from real diners — never something we invented.
How we rank
Our "best of" and city rankings are built on two honest signals, not on who paid us:
- Real ratings — a restaurant's Google rating and how many people left it, so a 4.7 from 900 diners outranks a 5.0 from three.
- A real, orderable menu — we surface places whose menus are live and complete, so you never land on an empty or dead listing.
Nobody can buy a higher rank. Rankings shift as ratings and menus change.
Our standards
We don't fake anything. No invented reviews, no made-up ratings, no pay-for-placement. We show real menus and real Google ratings, and we say when something is missing rather than filling it with guesswork. Menus and prices change constantly — always confirm the final details with the restaurant before you rely on them.
